Old Friends
Life can be funny sometimes. You meet other kids when you're a kid. You play with school friends and neighborhood friends not having any thought of the future. If you'll ever stay in touch or when they move if you'll ever see them again. You have no real concept of the future. Once you grow up and grow apart. You go on about your childhood and adulthood wondering about them. What happened to them. They cross your mind periodically as you hear a song on the radio and have this distant memory of singing that song over and over again on a summer day eating watermelon by the pool. Riding your bikes for hours around the neighborhood. Having movie nights and borrowing each others clothes. Dancing to the Spice Girls (you know we all did it). Then you grow apart for whatever the reason or many reasons. Life is like that. People ebb and flow through our lives whether we like it or not. Then you meet them again one day because it turns out after all these years you have a mutual friend. Then you see each other often. Make monthly (sometimes bi-monthly because.......life) lunch dates together with our mutual friend and it's amazing. You get to catch up with someone you spent so much of your life. Someone you made so many seemingly inconsequential memories. And now as and adult you realize how important those memories really were. Then she asks you to not only take photos of her and her 3 wonderfully made humans. But to edit them in a way I never have before. To think outside my comfort zone! To just have fun <3
WOW, what an amazing result! Thank you to her for trusting me to make this happen! I truly hope you enjoy these as much as I do <3
